Initial checks

  • Event is about Open Source technolgies and systems.
  • Event information is publicly available on a website.
  • The Event Code of Conduct is publicly available.
  • The applicant is the organizer of the event.

Code of Conduct at Event

  • Clarity - Event Code of Conduct has a clear definition of expected behaviour.
  • Reporting venue - There is a clear venue for reporting violations of the CoC at the event website / event venue.
  • Support at Event - The Event Code of Conduct OR event website provide information about possible ways to provide support to victims of inappropriate behavior.
  • Findability - It is easy to find the Code of Conduct on the Event website.
  • Enforcement - The participants in the Event are required to accept the Code of Conduct.

Speaker Demographics and Inclusivity

  • Measuring demographics - The Event has a clear process for measuring speaker demographics.
  • Ask applicant about the process if information is not openly available.
  • Inclusivity - There is a diverse Reviewing panel for selecting Event Speakers.

Attendee Demographics and inclusivity

  • Measuring Demographics - The Event has a clear process for measuring Attendee demographics.
  • Ask applicant about the process if information is not openly available.

Diversity Access tickets

  • Ticket allocation - The Event has a clear process for allocating diversity access tickets.
  • Findability - The information about Diversity Access Tickets is public and easy to find.

Family Friendliness

  • Availability - The Event claims to services/facilities for families.
  • Findability - The information about the family friendly services provided at the Event is easy to find on the website
